^{"Finally the time for prom arrived, and Sombra and I clearly had no need to rush over to the palace. I was somewhat afraid, and not to even mention nervous. I hoped that he wouldn’t try anything devious, and the butterflies in my stomach wouldn’t stop throughout the entire night. The Crystal Empire’s palace was shining bright, like it always does in the night… and there was plenty of commotion whether it was ponies laughing or the music that played. I wasn’t sure how other ponies, especially crystal ponies, would react to, well…the king being there, but… Sombra escorted me away from the main ball room. I followed him throughout the palace, avoiding any patrolling guards before we finally arrived at our destination—the top of the tower. You could see for miles where we stood, the open room was…well, breathtaking. It gave us privacy, and I…felt content. I got the one dance I was promised, and it was of course during a slow song. King Sombra has always been a gentlecolt, and even if he’s usually cocky or more concerned for his own being… once you know how to coax his good side out, he’s not a bad pony at all… It was a truly magical moment, one I’ll cherish deeply for the rest of my life…"~ Opalescent Pearl

Annnnnnnd the big picture! I didn't want to really seem lazy on it, so I did full lineart over the sketchyness. I had to overcome my fear of drawing ponies dancing AND crystal empire backgrounds :'D I had no idea where to draw them dancing even, seeing as I had no idea what the ballroom looked like, so I opted for using the tower on top of the palace. I figured it'd be a nice place from peering eyes of at the old tyrant and his crystal pony "date" lol XD and I had fun drawing itttt uvu
